Workplace Injuries

Despite best efforts, workplace injuries happen. They are not limited to high-risk industries such as manufacturing and construction. Disabling injuries can occur on any job, making workplace safety a top concern for employees and employers. Injuries can occur from falls, being hit by and handling objects, motor vehicle crashes, colliding with equipment, postural strains, and repetitive motions. When injuries arise, our main goal is to help the injured work recover in order to return to full function. We customize a plan to a patient’s specific needs to ensure optimal healing and worker safety. We work with both doctors and workers compensation representatives to ensure that the employee is able to return to work as quickly as possible. Treatment for workplace injuries can include:

  • Strengthening Exercises
  • Stretching / Range of Motion Exercises
  • Balance Training
  • Therapeutic Modalities
  • Manual Therapy

Our therapists also perform an ergonomic analysis to determine if modifications can be made to decrease future worker injury. This assessment takes into consideration factors like time, movement, posture, force/lifting requirements, and repetition of work tasks. This can get to the root causes of injury, provide solutions, and prepare the patient for a safe return to work with decreased risk of re-injury.
