Dry Needling

Dry Needling is a highly skilled treatment technique in which a thin filament needle is inserted through the skin into trigger points or “knots” in the muscle. This causes the shortened muscular tissue to relax and relieve the associated pain and tightness in the area of dysfunction. This technique is extremely effective in patients experiencing consistent spasms and muscular tightness that is non responsive to other forms of treatment. Both Lindsay and Robert are certified in dry needling.

A treatment for both acute and chronic pain, dry needling involves inserting a very thin filament needle into a “trigger point” or muscle spasm.

WHAT IS DRY NEEDLING?

This application is done to trigger points that increase blood flow and allow the muscle to relax by decreasing the tension and pain.  This technique can promote healing and increase movement and decrease pain.
